Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Worker to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe and engaging environment. This role involves caring for infants and toddlers, supporting their development, and helping them to feel comfortable while their parents attend worship services. This position is for Sunday mornings from 7:45-11:15 am. There are additionally a few special services throughout the year that nursery workers are needed for.
Duties
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment that is conducive to learning
- Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss children's needs and any concerns
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records of incidents or injuries
- Support children in developing social skills through group interactions and cooperative play
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education programs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, including infant care practices
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial; certification preferred but not required
- Background as a nanny or in classroom assistance can enhance candidacy
