Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position is based in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing pediatric respiratory therapy in a critical care environment. The position requires working night shifts with rotating weekends and offers the opportunity to work in various pediatric units including NICU, CCU, PICU, and acute care floors.
Job Details:
- Location: Chicago, Illinois
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with every other weekend work
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license, BLS, PALS, NRP (for NICU assignments), minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience (PICU/NICU/CCU), recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience in the current year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in at least two of the following areas: NICU, CCU, PICU, and acute care floors; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: Orientations are held every Monday. Candidates will undergo a skills checklist review during the orientation process. Dress code is scrubs of any color; kid-friendly attire is acceptable. Staffing is based on a point system determining ratios.
