Position Summary. USW is looking for an experienced estimator located near NYC for a full-time steel estimating position. They are responsible for providing guidance, direction, and coordinate with all departments to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

- Pricing change orders
- Creating Schedules of Values
- Reading contract documents
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Job Requirements
- A minimum of ten years of experience in Structural Steel (estimating, design, fabrication, erection, etc.), or a related field is required.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam Estimating Software
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Ability to read contract drawings
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Any degree in Construction or a related field is preferred. Candidates with a lesser or unrelated degree will need to demonstrate other attributes to offset this preference.
- Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with management, co-workers, customers, designers and field personnel.
