Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 2nd Grade ELA Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging curriculum, and supporting the academic and social growth of young learners.
Responsibilities
- Internalize and effectively deliver district-provided, standards-aligned lessons in literacy, reading, writing, and language arts to ensure rigorous, high-quality instruction and student achievement.
- Utilize educational technology and learning styles adaptability to cater to diverse student needs.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to inform instruction.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques for students with additional learning needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards while maintaining high-quality instruction.
- Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction that promotes student achievement and continuous academic growth.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional improvement by actively participating in coaching, professional learning, and implementing instructional feedback.
- Embrace regular instructional coaching and apply real-time feedback to strengthen teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
- Maintain effective classroom management and ensure learning begins promptly by consistently managing instructional time and adhering to established schedules.
- Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, campus events, and other meetings or activities as assigned by school leadership, including those held outside the regular school day.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and comply with district attendance policies and professional expectations.
- Monitor and supervise students throughout the school day, including during assigned duties and transitions, to promote a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
- Use student performance data to inform instructional decisions, monitor progress, and improve teaching effectiveness.
- Collaborate professionally with colleagues, administrators, students, and families to support student success and foster a positive school culture.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally, addressing concerns and resolving challenges in a constructive and solutions-oriented manner.
- Demonstrate personal accountability by meeting performance expectations, fulfilling assigned responsibilities, and contributing to campus goals.
- Uphold district policies, ethical standards, and professional conduct while serving as a positive role model for students and colleagues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the campus administrator in support of school and district priorities.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
