Forklift Operator – Shipping/Warehouse (Full-Time)

Position Summary
SMC is hiring a dependable Forklift Operator to support our shipping and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for moving finished product from production to warehouse storage, organizing inventory, and preparing and loading outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily forklift inspections to ensure safe operation
- Transport finished goods from the Unitizer line to designated warehouse locations
- Pull, stage, and load product for shipment based on routing orders, due dates, and special instructions
- Accurately count and organize product for shipment
- Receive and distribute incoming materials to appropriate areas
- Follow all quality standards and procedures
- Adhere to all company safety policies and maintain a clean work environment
- Complete timekeeping and required documentation
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Prior forklift experience preferred (training available)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
- Bending, stooping, and reaching as needed
- Clear vision and hearing for safe equipment operation
Work Environment
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures and moderate noise levels. This role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks.

- 60-day probationary period with performance evaluations
- Responsibilities may change based on business needs
