Job Summary: As a Manufacturing Associate – Flange/Repair operator, you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of high-quality mattresses.

Responsibilities:
GENERAL
- Participate in the assembly and manufacturing of mattresses according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Report any defects or issues to supervisors for resolution.
- Handle and move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing area.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products.
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines during machine operation.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
SPECIFIC TO FLANGE/REPAIR
- Operates machine to roll specified flanges on metal disks and dished heads: Selects and bolts fixture onto free moving ram and powered turntable.
- Lifts and centers workpiece onto block or fixture on turntable, using hoist, sledge, rule, and tape.
- Pulls lever to lower ram onto workpiece, clamping it onto turntable.
- Selects and bolts rollers to spindles of machine, with edge of workpiece between rollers.
- Turns handwheel to adjust rollers to thickness and curvature of metal and to exert bending pressure.
- Starts machine which rotates edge of workpiece through rollers.
- Readjusts curvature and bending pressure to form specified flange on workpiece.
- Verifies curve of flange, using template.
- Other tasks as required/assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on your feet on the production floor for the duration of the shift (usually 8 hours/day).
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks (including lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, etc.) and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within the manufacturing process.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines.
- Strong command of English language is required.
- Other tasks, as required, depending on the workstation/area you are assigned to.
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday 6:30am- 2:30pm (paid lunch break)
- Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.

We are only considering candidates who already reside within daily commuting distance. Relocation is not provided.
