The Assistant Director supports the Center Director in overseeing the daily operations of the childcare center. This role helps ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children while supporting staff, maintaining compliance with state licensing regulations, communicating with families, and assisting with administrative duties. While the Director is onsite, the Assistant Director will be in ratio in classrooms training and supporting staff. The Assistant Director is dependable, a team player, and helps the team to be successful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Assist the Center Director with the daily management of the childcare center.
- Supervise and support teachers and classroom staff.
- Help maintain staffing schedules and classroom ratios.
- Serve as Acting Director in the Director’s absence.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
