Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation.
- Support behavioral health needs by implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive behaviors.
- Facilitate communication using various methods, including American Sign Language when applicable, to ensure effective understanding and expression.
- Help individuals participate in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to foster independence and social skills.
- Collect data on progress, behaviors, and goals to track development and inform care plans.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals following proper protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of services provided, incidents, and progress notes in compliance with agency policies.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or related conditions.
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community outings or home visits.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in a respectful manner.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to behavioral health or social work.
- Certification or experience in medication administration preferred but not required; training provided if necessary.

Pay: $17.60 - $18.10 per hour
