The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
School Aide / Personal Care Aide (PCA) / Teacher Assistant
Full-Time | School-Year Contract
Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in the classroom? We are seeking dedicated School Aides, Personal Care Aides (PCAs), and Teacher Assistants to work with Special Education students in elementary, middle, and high school settings.
In this role, you will provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to students under the supervision of teachers and Special Education staff. Assignments may include classroom support or one-on-one assistance based on student needs.

Support students in classroom and one-to-one learning environments

Assist with behavioral interventions, redirection, and engagement

Implement accommodations and support student IEP goals

Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting as needed

Support students with mobility and personal care needs

Work collaboratively with teachers, Special Education staff, and school administrators

Create a positive, safe, and supportive educational environment

High School Diploma or GED required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

CPR certification if required

TB screening and health documentation if required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience working with children, Special Education populations, behavioral support, childcare, ABA, DSP, or paraprofessional roles is preferred
