Overview
We are a local, family owned and operated Hallmark store seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team for 1-3 evenings per week and some weekends. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products accordingly.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer knowledge.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Maintain product displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and providing tailored recommendations.
- Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards learning about new products and sales techniques.
