Skatetown Ice Arena is hiring a dependable and hard-working Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility.
This position is responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of the rink, locker rooms, restrooms, café, bleachers, floors, and exterior grounds. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and values consistency and accountability.
Schedule
- Part-Time 20+ hours a week, occasional overtime may be required
- Monday-Friday
- Typical shift: 7:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Example of Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, players benches, and Cafe.
- Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning equipment
- Empty trash and maintain exterior cleanliness
- Vacuum bleachers and clean public areas
- Restock supplies and maintain janitorial equipment
- Report safety hazards or maintenance concerns
- Follow daily cleaning checklist and procedures
Qualifications
- Janitorial or custodial experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team mindset
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- Ability to work around cold temperatures in ice rink environments
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment
Employment Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment reference and background screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
