Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Team Lead to join the SunnyDayz, Inc team. In this role, you will support dispensary day-to-day operations by providing outstanding service, contributing to a positive/productive workplace culture, and maintaining compliance with company policies and local/state regulations in accordance with 935-CMR-500 or The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission's Adult Use of Marijuana regulations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering a best-in-class experience while supporting operational goals, team success, and the continued growth of the organization.
Duties
- Lead daily retail sales floor operations and provide support to team members.
- Set up daily placemats to ensure all team members have assignments.
- Support cash handling activities, including register operations, and daily deposits.
- Lead daily Inventory operations and provide support to team members in coordination with leadership.
- Support label creation for all 3 party deliveries/transfers in addition to in-house production lines/product creation.
- Lead new hire and team training in coordination with leadership.
- Process customer potential returns/exchanges and in accordance with company policies.
- Perform reconciliation activities, including drawer balancing, financial, & inventory reconciliation.
- Collaborate with leadership to support training activities.
- Ensure inventory compliance with state METRC seed-to-sale tracking system and internal software/procedures.
- Support receiving, verifying, and processing both inbound/outbound cannabis transfers in coordination with leadership.
- Collaborate with retail, inventory, and leadership to ensure product availability as well as accuracy.
- Support daily & quarterly inventory audits to ensure compliance and support reconciliation.
- Support greeting customers upon entry into the dispensary and create a welcoming/friendly environment.
- Support verifying that all patrons/visitors have a valid government issued identification prior to allowing entry into the dispensary and at the point-of-sale station.
- Support providing exceptional customer service and guide patrons through their purchasing journey.
- Support processing transactions via the dispensary point-of-sale (POS) system (Treez).
- Support maintaining a clean facility including but not limited to the dispensary retail sales floor, vaults, and all back of house areas within the SunnyDayz facilities.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of SunnyDayz inventory and new product offerings.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with SunnyDayz Dress Code policy.
- Support opening/closing procedures.
- Adhere to all workplace safety standards and quality control requirements.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and compliance regulations in accordance with local/state regulations and 935-CMR-500 or The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission's Adult Use of Marijuana regulations.
