Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in residential and commercial carpentry projects, assisting with framing, finishing, and general labor tasks. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality craftsmanship on time and within budget. Duties
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and fixture mounting according to construction plans and technical drawings
- Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, roofing, siding, and other carpentry tasks safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise measurements and accurate project execution
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and handling heavy lifting tasks safely
- Install doors, cabinets, moldings, stucco, siding, flooring, tiles, and other wood construction materials with attention to detail
- Support rebar installation, plastering, caulking, roofing, restoration work, and mold remediation as needed
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool use, including power tool safety standards and proper handling of woodworking machines
- Assist with remodeling projects by performing demolition, assembly, painting, and fixture installation tasks in residential settings
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the team by supporting other trades such as carpentry or handyman services on-site
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience or apprenticeship in carpentry or woodworking preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read construction plans and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and general construction work
- Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, siding materials, trim components, and flooring products
- Experience with residential carpentry projects such as door hanging, cabinet installation, flooring laying or tile work is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding safely
- Commitment to safety standards including power tool safety procedures and proper equipment use
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job
