Why does the job exist?
The Supervisor, Healthcare Programs will:
Manage Medicaid procurements related to the Medicaid Management Information System Replacement (MMISR) project;
Monitor contracts for the MMISR project;
Initiate contracts, contract amendments and coordinate meetings;
Create trackers and track action items;
Manage contractors and present status updates through various avenues;
Review business deliverables and work with Request for Proposals (RFP) that may require drafting sections ensuring compliance.

The Supervisor, Healthcare Programs is responsible for:
Making procurement related decisions;
Collaborating with staff and managers to ensure all requirements are met;
Determining methods to meet timelines, evaluating complex situations. and providing solutions;
Providing direction to staff, evaluating short- and long-term goals and determining strategies to meet intended outcomes.

Internal and External Stakeholders throughout Health Care Authority (HCA), Medicaid recipients, providers, and contractors.

Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Must be able to lift 25lbs.
