Summary
As a Shift Supervisor at C&J Equipment Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring that production goals are met effectively. This position is crucial for maintaining our standards of quality and fostering a productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of welding staff during assigned shift.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor welding processes to meet quality standards and efficiency goals.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment.
- Assist in training new employees on operational procedures and safety practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and other departments.
- Ability to analyze production data and make informed decisions to improve efficiency.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
Pay is dependent upon experience.
Physical Qualifications:
- Regularly lift/move 50 lbs; occasionally assist with team lifts for heavier components.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments (heat/cold).
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods in a shop environment.
- Manual dexterity to operate grinders, torches, and welding leads with precision.
- Must pass a post-offer drug screen.
