As an after-school care provider, you will play a vital role in supervising children, facilitating enriching activities, and ensuring their well-being from dismissal through early evening hours. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Help plan and facilitate engaging activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports, and educational games that promote childhood development
- Manage behavior using effective and positive reinforcement techniques
- Administer first aid when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns
- Support children with homework assistance to reinforce learning and academic progress
- Coordinate with parents, teachers, and staff to communicate children's needs and progress effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages safety and creativity for all children in care
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or educational environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Experience managing behavior in individual and group settings
- Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus
- Outdoor work experience or background beneficial for organizing active outdoor play and sports activities
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
