If you are energized by transforming an engineering design into a custom automated machine, enjoy solving problems and figuring things out as you build, and like work that is interesting and challenging day to day, then come join us at Criterion Automation.
You will assemble one-of-a-kind automation systems from individual components to a fully functional machine. This is not repetitive production assembly—it requires mechanical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work through a build with limited direction.
This is more than a job—we are a team that works hard, solves problems, and supports each other. We care about people, stay focused on getting work done, seek solutions when challenges arise, and build trust through consistent, reliable performance.
Experience & Expectations
- A commitment to contribute to a positive, team, work environment
- Prior hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to assemble equipment with minimal training
- Ability to work from mechanical drawings, fitting and aligning components, and progressing through a machine build without step-by-step direction
- Manual/CNC machining experience and ability to use hand and power tools
Responsibilities
- Complete mechanical assembly of custom automation equipment
- Perform fit-up, alignment, and adjustment of components
- Support troubleshooting and debugging of machines
- Work with engineers and electricians to resolve issues
- Participate in machine testing and final run-off

- Interacting with the team in a clear, respectful, and constructive manner
- Developing a strong understanding of the full build process across disciplines
