The Industrial Engineer is responsible for identifying and eliminating process bottlenecks across manufacturing and operational workflows using lean methodologies. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, optimizes operational processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.
The position also supports the development of operational teams by promoting a culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement lean methodologies including 5S, standard work, visual management, takt time planning, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving tools
Drive waste reduction, work-in-process reduction, and throughput improvements
Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, sequencing, and workflow
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational and administrative functions
Develop capacity models, production planning tools, and time standards
Design and improve equipment layouts, workflow efficiency, and safety practices
Support the development of operational staff by promoting continuous improvement practices
Collaborate with operational leadership to implement improvement initiatives and operational strategies
Support equipment capital projects including design evaluation, vendor coordination, procurement, and implementation
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering or process improvement experience
Strong background in data analysis, root cause analysis, and problem solving
Demonstrated ability to improve operational throughput and eliminate process bottlenecks
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced operational environments
