Primarily assists the doctors & therapeutic staff with evaluating and treating patients, following established policies and procedures. Interacts with clients/patients and vendors/pharmacies as well as other support staff. Orders and monitors appropriate medications. Stays up-to-date with policies, procedures, treatment options and licensing in the addiction field.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Clear speaking voice in the English language.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with clients/patients, co-workers, associates and managers.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware – Apple platform preferred, telephone systems, computer software, including Office Suite, scheduling software, RxNT and other job-specific software such as PDMP.
- Ability to dress in a professional manner.
- Valid driver’s license, valid automobile insurance and good driving record.
- Demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability.
- Flexible work habits and work schedule.
- This position requires a professional demeanor and an orientation toward customer service.
- Minimum level of Education: appropriate medical degree and certification
- Minimum level of Experience: 2 years prior experience in medical field, including in addiction medicine
- Must be bondable and have been certified by PA State and DEA for MAT
