Job Summary
Well established company in Longview is seeking a Buyer for their manufacturing facility in Longview.
This is a contract position that has the potential to roll over to a direct employee.
Pay is dependent on level of experience. $20-32/hr.
Will be responsible for supplier selection and procurement functions directly associated
with the needs for materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery competitive levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. This position is further responsible for the timely planning, manufacturing scheduling and inventory control of the products manufactured.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business. An Associate’s degree in combination with relevant experience and training will be considered.
- Must possess analytical/critical thinking skills CPIM, CSCP or CPM Certification a plus Experience 0 -1 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience working in an ERP environment (SAP a plus) MS Office aptitude, Professional and Positive attitude.
- Strong relational skills, ability to work with all departments, fosters teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
