About the role
Home Zone Furniture is one of the fastest-growing furniture retailers in Texas, with showrooms across the state and a culture built on value, quality, and customer satisfaction. We're looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our purchasing team — someone who thrives on accuracy, loves working with data, and wants to grow a career in retail buying.
What you'll do
- Enter and maintain accurate purchase orders, vendor records, and product data in our inventory and ERP systems
- Build and manage Excel spreadsheets to track pricing, order status, delivery timelines, and vendor performance
- Coordinate with vendors to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding shipments
- Support senior buyers with sourcing research, cost comparisons, and promotional planning
- Audit data for accuracy and flag inconsistencies to the buying team
- Generate routine purchasing reports and summaries for management review
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry, purchasing, or a related administrative role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data formatting are a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy under volume
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
- Solid communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus (training provided)
- Background in retail, furniture, or consumer goods is a bonus — but not required

Pay: $23.05 - $27.76 per hour
