Ginkgo Leaf Studio is a landscape design firm specializing in thoughtful, architecture-driven residential landscapes with a strong focus on mid-century modern homes and landscapes. Our work ranges from local high-end residential projects to modern homes throughout the country.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized team member to assist with the technical, creative, and administrative aspects of our design process. This role is ideal for either:
- a landscape design student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in a professional design studio, or
- an experienced design or horticulture professional looking for a flexible, production-focused support role within a creative environment.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20–30 hours per week, with the potential for expanded responsibilities and future full-time employment for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare AutoCAD base plans from site measurements and survey information
- Input landscape designs and revisions into AutoCAD, including project notes and plan updates
- Assist with Photoshop renderings and conceptual design presentations
- Assist with on-site field measuring and occasional project site visits during landscape installation
- Create and edit plant palette booklets using Adobe InDesign
- Assist with preparation of client proposals and project correspondence
- Create and maintain physical and digital project files
- Assist with client communication and general office organization
- Create social media content using Canva for Instagram, Facebook, and Houzz
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred
- Familiarity with Canva and social media platforms preferred
- Basic knowledge of landscape plants and horticulture strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and revisions with attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently within a small, collaborative studio environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Some candidates may be early in their careers and looking to gain professional experience, while others may bring previous design, horticulture, or industry experience and prefer a more flexible, support-focused role.
