Safety Coordinator (MSHA/MSHA) – Temporary Project | Locker Room Renovation

Job Summary
SADE Home & Industry is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support a renovation project at an active cement manufacturing facility. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable MSHA and OSHA safety regulations while maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
This is a temporary, project-based position. Employment will last for the duration of the project. The anticipated schedule is 10–12 weeks, although the project may be completed sooner. Employment will conclude when the project is completed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site Safety Coordinator during construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA and applicable OSHA regulations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and site audits.
- Perform and document daily safety meetings/toolbox talks.
- Verify proper use of PPE and enforce safety requirements.
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safe work planning.
- Monitor contractor compliance with plant safety policies.
- Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the project manager and plant safety personnel.
- Maintain all required safety documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Safety Coordinator or Safety Representative in construction or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations is required.
- Knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and enforce safety policies professionally.
- Experience working in heavy industrial facilities is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Certifications
- Current MSHA certification preferred.
- Candidates without current MSHA certification may be considered. Employer is willing to pay for MSHA New Miner Training for the right candidate.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is preferred.
Position Details
