Job Summary
Working as part of an integral team, your main responsibilities will be focusing on generating new accounts in the downhole sector of the Oil & Gas market, primarily for precision machining services in the greater Broussard area. A secondary focus on establishing new clients for Laser cladding, PTA hard facing, fabrication, shot peen, and phosphating operations. This position is suited towards an individual who is highly motivated with prior experience as a machine shop sales rep in the Oil and Gas industry with a strong knowledge of downhole tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing a new customer base and developing new contacts within major Oil and Gas companies.
- Existing customer contact list developed of years of experience.
- Report directly to the President with weekly sales reports.
- Strong knowledge of machining practices, hard facing, and fabrication are essential.
- Act professionally and ethically to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with regular contact and providing updates on current projects.
- Work directly with manufacturing managers, purchasing, & quality departments to determine current and future lead times on bids.
- Help with manufacturing to generate accurate and detailed quote packages for submitting to customers.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in new customer setup.
- Assist in supplying reports and information to the management team.
- Expand both the customer base and revenues through effective networking and relationship building.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by manager.
Qualification Requirements:
- 7-10 years minimum of extensive sales knowledge in machining for the Oil & Gas industry.
- Established contacts within the Broussard Oil and Gas market.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Observing shop floor manufacturing processes.
- Ambitious and motivated to get the job done.
- Lift 50lbs
