Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to join our dynamic hospitality team! Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality service and team cohesion
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to meet safety and quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
- Coordinate inventory control to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and support food cost management
- Train new team members on food service procedures, POS operation, customer service excellence, and safety protocols
- Monitor restaurant operations to ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience
- Assist with shift planning, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and overall restaurant management tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in hospitality or food service management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety management standards
- Experience with managing hospitality teams, training staff, and overseeing kitchen operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of restaurant management principles including budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and shift management
