Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a strong background in food handling and preparation. As a Server/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Prepare food items according to safety and sanitation standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, utilizing culinary skills to support kitchen operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours in a quick-service restaurant setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with familiarity in quick service & fast food environments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is required.
- Experience with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous, especially in food preparation roles.

Base Pay: $15.70 - $24.48 per hour
