Position Overview
The Program Support Associate is a key ambassador of Porch Light’s mission to build confident, capable, and kind young people through the performing arts. This role helps create a welcoming, organized, and inspiring environment where students and families feel supported from the moment they walk through our doors. During program hours, the Program Support Associate manages the front desk, delivers excellent customer service, supports instructors, tracks attendance, and helps maintain a clean, well-run facility. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in helping others, values teamwork, and believes that small moments of care and responsibility help build strong character.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Service
- Greet students and families warmly, modeling our values of respect and professionalism
- Serve as a positive first point of contact for families, creating a calm and welcoming experience
- Facilitate a calm and organized flow during during busy program hours
- Answer phones, respond to general inquiries, and direct questions appropriately
- Prepare and send daily program snapshots and send reminders as needed
- Process enrollments, cancellations, and membership inquiries as needed
- Complete forms, reports and data tracking as assigned, ensuring accuracy
- Assist families with basic account questions while maintaining confidentiality
- Effectively and accurately manage items in Monday.com, Google Drive, SMS, etc.
Program & Instructor Support
- Prepare, organize, and distribute materials for instructors (binders, scripts, curriculum, etc.)
- Assist with room setup, transitions, and breakdown during program hours
- Communicate important notes or updates between instructors and leadership
- Support a smooth flow of programming so instructors can focus on teaching and student growth
Attendance & Administrative Support
- Accurately take and record daily attendance
- Ensure attendance records and basic paperwork are complete and organized
- Assist with light administrative tasks as assigned
Facility Care & Organization
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all areas during program hours
- Reset rooms between classes and ensure supplies are stocked and accessible
- Support end-of-day closing procedures to ensure the facility reflects Porch Light’s high standards and is ready for the next program day

- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow through on responsibilities
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with children, families, and instructors
- Willingness to help wherever needed and take initiative
- Customer service experience preferred; training provided
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry light supplies and materials
- Availability during after-school, evening, and/or weekend program hours
