ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURABLES:
· Safety Compliance:
o Consistently wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) each day.
o Proactively identify and report any safety hazards to the immediate supervisor for timely resolution.
o Operate within the framework of all safety and housekeeping policies outlined by the company, ensuring a clean, secure, and organized work environment.
o Adhere to all safety requirements and policies, including the completion of daily checklists to ensure a secure work environment.
· Quality Assurance & Product Inspection:
o Adhere to all work instructions relevant to the job, producing parts without defects.
o Alert the supervisor promptly if a part is identified as nonconforming, maintaining high-quality standards.
o Utilize precision measuring instruments to meticulously measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects, ensuring strict adherence to specifications.
o Ensure strict adherence to specifications, maintaining high-quality standards in the production process.
o Assume responsibility for the quality of products, actively contributing to meeting company objectives of maintaining a shipment rate below 2500 parts per million (ppm).
o Assure adherence to AS9100D, maintaining compliance with quality management system standards.
o Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives as directed by the company, contributing to the enhancement of processes and efficiency.
· Machinist Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Complete ongoing Machinist Training Courses as scheduled and approved by the Director of Operations.
o Operate NC mills, NC lathes, drill/tap machines, and other equipment as instructed.
o Utilize various tools, including calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, etc., to ensure precision in machining processes.
o Use the in-process sheet to record and monitor close tolerance dimensions, maintaining accuracy throughout machining operations.
o Record accurate data on the build plan, including time, quantity, scrap, and any relevant comments, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
o Meet production goals outlined in the plan, ensuring the timely delivery of scheduled parts.
o Achieve time and efficiency standards specified for each production order, aligning with actual standards on the build plan and machine capability.
o Ability to operate one or more machines, as required by schedule.
· Varied Responsibilities
o Perform any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the production process.
o Consistently show up on time for work each day, adhering to the established schedule.
o Ability to work irregular shifts, as needed.
Pay: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour
