Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant cafe team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Responsibilities
- Manage daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift scheduling, and ensuring smooth workflow
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service standards, POS systems (Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Oversee food production, ensuring high-quality offerings in line with health regulations and company standards
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management and ordering to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area adhering to food safety standards
- Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training & development initiatives to foster a motivated team
- Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and resolve any issues promptly
- Implement budgeting strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining excellent service levels
- Coordinate catering events or special functions as needed to enhance guest experiences
Requirements
- ServSafe Certificate needed
- Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Experience in inventory control, food production management, and cost analysis within the food industry
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence in casual dining or fine dining settings
- Leadership capabilities demonstrated through staff training, team management, interviewing, and performance coaching
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and certification requirements; experience with kitchen management preferred
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform shift management duties effectively
- Previous experience in hotel or catering environments is a plus; barista or coffee experience is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
