We are looking for one top tier mason to run our larger jobs. If you are the best guy at your current company and you are getting paid about the same as everyone else there, read the rest of this.
THE MONEY
$45 an hour, guaranteed 40 hours a week, roughly $93,000 a year before overtime and bonus.
On top of that, you run the job and the hours you save are paid to you as a bonus. Not to the company. To you.
Our operations manager/co-owner bids every job. He has been in the trade over 20 years, so the amount of time each project is bid for comes from someone who has actually done the work. We are not asking you to rush. Quality is mandatory.
THE WORK
Chimney rebuilds, crowns, liners, and tuckpointing, along with historic restoration and various masonry restoration projects.
All work is within 30 minutes of our Brown Deer office. Mostly Milwaukee's North Shore and Ozaukee County, plus Germantown and Wauwatosa. No long drives and no travel work.
You will run a two man crew. You and a laborer.
WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT
We do not hire inexperienced laborers. Your helper knows the trade, so you are running a job and nothing else.
Jobs are staged and organized before you get there. Material is where it should be. When you call, an owner picks up.
Two owners, both masons. Ryan and Sam, 20 plus years each. There is no project manager between you and a decision, and nobody here is going to tell you how to do something they have never done themselves.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Company truck and gas card. All tools and equipment. Bring your hand tools, that is it.
Very good health insurance. 401k with 100% match up to 3%, calculated every paycheck. Paid time off.
Start at our Brown Deer shop at 7:30. Forty hours a week is mandatory. How you hit your 40 is up to you.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
If you cannot do our work with both quality and efficiency, do not apply. This is not a job where you get carried, and it is not a job where you get micromanaged either. The right man is motivated, organized, and top tier, and he already knows it.
