4-day Work Week, 10 hour shifts!
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to inspect precision CNC machined components. This position is responsible for verifying parts meet print, dimensional, and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
l Inspect CNC machined parts using blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
l Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
l Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
l Operate and/or assist with CMM inspection equipment as applicable
l Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, threads, and other part requirements
l Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
l Identify and communicate nonconforming parts or process issues to production personnel
l Assist machinists with inspection questions and measurement methods
l Maintain calibration status and proper care of inspection equipment
l Help maintain organized inspection areas, gauges, and quality documentation
l Support corrective action, root-cause investigation, and continuous improvement activities as needed
Qualifications
l Experience inspecting precision machined parts preferred
l Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and tolerances
l Working knowledge of GD&T; is preferred
l Proficient with common precision measuring instruments
l CMM experience is a plus
l Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow inspection procedures
l Basic computer skills for entering inspection data and reviewing job information
l Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with machinists, supervisors, and management
