Position Overview
We are seeking a Custody Operations Analyst to join our back-office operations team supporting banking and advisor client groups. The ideal candidate will have 1–4 years of experience in Custody Operations, with hands-on experience navigating SWP and working with client/portfolio-level data.
This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who can manage multiple operational activities within strict timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and client service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in Custody Operations / Investment Operations, preferably with hands-on SWP experience.
- Strong knowledge of SWP navigation and client/portfolio-level data research.
- Experience generating and interpreting BOXI reports for MIS and operational reporting.
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets, including:
- Equities
- Fixed Income
- Bonds
- Mutual Funds
- Traditional Assets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new processes, systems, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day custody and back-office operational activities using SWP.
- Process static data amendments, including:
- Date of birth
- Address changes
- Fee packages
- Statement recipients
- Other client/account information
- Execute inter-account cash and stock transfers based on client instructions.
- Process recurring and ad-hoc cash disbursements, including dividend and interest payments.
- Review, validate, and post cash receipts received from clients and counterparties.
- Research client and portfolio-level information within SWP.
- Generate, review, and interpret BOXI/MIS reports for operational and management reporting.
- Coordinate effectively with multiple internal operations and processing teams.
- Ensure all transactions and requests are processed accurately and within established service-level timelines.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, data privacy, quality, and operational controls.
- Identify discrepancies or exceptions and coordinate with appropriate teams for resolution.
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently while meeting daily deadlines.
- Perform other operational duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or academic background in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in Custody Operations, Asset Servicing, Securities Operations, or Investment Operations.
- Experience working with SWP and BOXI.
- Knowledge of banking, wealth management, or financial services operations.
- Experience working with client/account-level data and transaction processing.
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
