Cook 1
Primary function is to produce all food production and related products for the day and following days. Ensures quality and food safety controls. Assists in food preparation for dining room, skilled nursing facility, catering, or special events. Knowledge of quantity cooking and serving principles while possessing skills needed to produce quality food according to standardized recipes and production sheets.
Requirements
- A min. of (1) year exp. in a healthcare kitchen or similar food service environment required.
- Criminal background screening (fingerprinting through the Department of Justice and FBI) completed and free of criminal convictions
- Knowledge of quantity cooking and serving principles and possess skills needed to produce quality food according to standardized recipes and production sheets.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with residents, family members, and co-workers.
- Able to relate to residents in a courteous manner.

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.

- Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Provide excellent customer service while serving meals.
