We are seeking a passionate and skilled Group Facilitator to join our Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP) team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients.
Position Overview
The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psychoeducational and process groups for adults participating in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role provides clinical support throughout the treatment day, helps foster client engagement, and collaborates closely with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and medical providers to ensure continuity of care.
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our PHP/IOP outpatient facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging psychoeducational, process, and skills-based groups for clients enrolled in PHP and IOP.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions including CBT, DBT, relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.
- Encourage active participation while creating a safe, respectful, and therapeutic group environment.
- Monitor client participation, engagement, and emotional well-being throughout the treatment day.
- Communicate client concerns, behavioral observations, and clinical updates to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with therapists and other multidisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment goals.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation, including group notes and other required clinical records.
- Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA regulations, and state licensing requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field.
- Experience facilitating groups within a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Preferred
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Registered Intern)
