■ Job Responsibilities
Shipment Management
- Manage ocean import and export shipments from booking through final delivery, including the preparation and review of Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other required shipping documents.
Cargo Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and provide timely ETA updates and status reports to customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
Trade Compliance and Documentation
- Coordinate documentation related to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and ISF filings.
- Support compliance with export requirements, including AES filings, Incoterms, and commodity restrictions.
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with customs brokers, warehouses, ocean carriers, trucking companies, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient customs clearance and on-time delivery.
Domestic Transportation Management
- Coordinate drayage, container pickup and return, and inland transportation with steamship lines, local agents, warehouses, and trucking providers.
Customer Service and Billing
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve operational issues, maintain strong customer relationships, and support accurate invoice preparation and billing.
Carrier, Vendor, and Risk Management
- Verify carrier and transportation vendor credentials, including MC and DOT authority, insurance coverage, safety ratings, and operating status.
- Maintain an approved carrier and vendor database and conduct periodic compliance reviews.
- Follow carrier identity verification and callback procedures using independently verified contact information.
- Support secure warehouse pickup procedures, including dispatch reference, equipment, PIN, and pickup authorization verification.
- Identify and help prevent double brokering, carrier impersonation, email spoofing, cargo theft, and other transportation-related risks.
- Assist with security incidents and claims by maintaining carrier verification records, dispatch logs, and supporting shipment documents.
Rate and Partner Management
- Negotiate and review ocean freight, drayage, trucking, and warehouse rates.
- Benchmark transportation costs and support the protection of operating margins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, warehouses, and other service providers.
- Select appropriate partners for each shipment and monitor compliance with agreed service requirements.
- Take ownership of operational exceptions and coordinate with relevant parties until issues are fully resolved.
■ Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3–7 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on industry experience may also be considered.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing shipping documents, rates, and operational information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
■ Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ocean import and export procedures, customs documentation, ISF, AES, and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with carrier compliance verification, including MC and DOT authority, insurance, safety ratings, and operating-status reviews.
- Understanding of transportation fraud, carrier impersonation, double brokering, and cargo security risks.
- Experience negotiating ocean freight, drayage, trucking, or warehouse rates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Korean and English bilingual communication skills preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
