Lighthouse 1 LLC is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-C) to provide group-based and psycho-educational services to female residents ages 8–17 in a licensed children’s residential group home. This role supports residents’ emotional, behavioral, and life-skill development in accordance with DBHDS regulations and approved Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
This position is ideal for a QMHP-C with group home or youth residential experience who is highly organized, documentation-focused, and comfortable working collaboratively with residential staff and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the initial 30-day assessment process and contribute to monthly service summaries using the approved format.
- Develop and update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) within required timeframes.
- Provide group sessions and psycho-educational services 1–2 times per week aligned with resident goals.
- Facilitate weekly house meetings focused on communication, coping skills, and personal responsibility.
- Co-facilitate peer support or parenting-related educational groups, as assigned.
- Provide crisis support and de-escalation assistance as needed, following program protocols.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and DBHDS-compliant.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and human rights protections.
- Collaborate with residential staff, administration, and community partners.
- Perform other related duties within scope of practice, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current QMHP-C certification (Virginia-approved) – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling, education, sociology).
- Minimum one (1) year of direct experience working with children or adolescents in a residential, behavioral health, educational, or community-based setting.
- Experience in a children’s group home or residential program preferred.
