Summary
The Quality Lab Technician ensures accurate implementation of Quality specifications at Mart Frozen Foods operation. This position will oversee the taking and running of samples of product, to ensure the product is in spec per regulation. This position will also assist the plants sanitation program, external audits, and food safety compliance.
Job Description
· Ensures accurate implementation and adherence to Quality policies and standards
· Set Quality goals and objectives that compliment company policies and goals.
· Lead training efforts to ensure all employees understand quality procedures
· Direct activities of employees engaged in inspection and testing to ensure continuous control over dehydrated product
· Assist with the introduction of new processes or equipment
· Ensure that all employees consistently follow safety policies and practices, and promptly address safety issues.
· Will attend safety meetings and help to ensure that all employees are following the food safety rules
Qualifications
· Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and ability to solve problems
· Must have working knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles and practices, computer systems, and production processes and equipment used in the food industry.
· Must be safety oriented and follow all safety standards
· Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
· SQF certification is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
