Job description:
An underground construction crew member builds or repairs subterranean utility systems—such as gas, water, sewage, and electric. Responsibilities include manual digging, operating heavy machinery, laying conduit, and restoring worksites. Workers must perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must have experience in Underground Utilities, Driving/Hauling Trailers Equipment.

Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Excavation: Manually dig trenches using shovels and picks, or operate equipment like jackhammers, tampers, and mini-excavators.
- Utility Installation: Place conduit, cables, anchors, pedestals, and vaults into trenches as directed by a foreman.
- Site Restoration: Refill trenches, tamp soil, resurface asphalt, and replant vegetation to restore the work area to its original condition.
- Equipment Handling: Load and unload materials, maintain tools, and conduct safety checks on vehicles and heavy machinery before daily operation.
- Safety & Traffic Control: Set up traffic signs and cones, flag vehicles if working on active roadways, and follow all Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 80lbs, perform heavy manual labor, and climb ladders or enter confined spaces/trenches.
- Experience: Must have experience in Underground Utilities Installation/Pipe Laying.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record is required to operate company trucks and tow trailers.
- Certifications: valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) are highly preferred.
Pay: From $750.00 per week
