Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead our heavy civil site crews on active projects. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in excavation and underground utility work, who thrives in the field and leads with confidence, communication, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee jobsite daily activities and crew operations
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met or exceeded
- Understand and manage the scope of Mr. Excavator’s work on each project
- Administer and enforce Mr. Excavator’s safety program
- Coordinate with Project Manager and Area Superintendent regarding materials, equipment, and labor
- Receive and track all materials delivered to the site
- Report jobsite employee hours and activities accurately
- Communicate and coordinate with customers, other trades, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Computer literacy is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and lead by example
- Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
- Willingness to work all necessary overtime
- OSHA 30-Hour and Competent Person Training required (training available through Mr. Excavator)
