American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract at a community hospital in New York.

Community hospital setting in Massena, NY

General ultrasound unit performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures
-
Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult
-
Common procedures include OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, breast ultrasound, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
-
Outpatient work setting experience required
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
-
Call required every 3rd day after 6:00 PM and every 3rd weekend

Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience

Current ARDMS certification and BLS required
-
NY state license required (must be in hand)

Community hospital experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

License required if applicable

Perform general diagnostic ultrasound imaging including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotid, and breast studies, as well as invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis

Experience with biopsies is preferred

Preferred certifications include ARRT (Sonography), RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), and RVT
