Position Summary
Material Control Specialist II performs advanced material handling, SAP transactions, and inventory control activities. This role supports production by ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials and provides guidance to entry level team members.
Pay: $19.00
Shift: Morning
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, issue, and transfer materials within SAP according to established guidelines.
- Utilize SAP inquiry tools and export data for analysis.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counting activities.
- Understand consignment, floor stock, and vendor managed inventory processes.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S, and quality initiatives.
- Walk 6–8 miles per day while performing inventory and material movement tasks.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of SAP material movement processes.
- Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions.
- Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands
- Walk 6–8 miles per day throughout warehouse and storage areas.
- Stand for extended periods during picking, receiving, and stocking tasks.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and handling of materials.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
Work Environment
- High activity warehouse environment with frequent interaction across departments.
- Exposure to seasonal temperature changes and dock conditions.
- Noise levels consistent with forklift operations and shipping equipment.
- Required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
