Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure an accurate and complete patient registration and checkout process
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using medical office software.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support by managing patient records, updating charts, and processing paperwork with precision.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointment details, pre-visit instructions, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to coordinate patient flow and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions and assist with billing processes when needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred.
- ·High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical coding and durable medical equipment experience preferred but will train.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a busy office environment.
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
