ESFV Field Deputy
The Office of LA County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath is seeking a compassionate, motivated, community-driven, and collaborative Field Deputy passionate about public service to join her East San Fernando Valley field office. The Field Deputy will be assigned to multiple neighborhoods within the Third District and will work to ensure constituents’ needs are addressed and there is a strong working relationship between the office and various communities.
The 3rd Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County covers a variety of communities across the San Fernando Valley, Santa Monica Mountains, and Metro Los Angeles, representing approximately 2 million constituents.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and writing abilities, a passion for making meaningful, sustainable impacts in Los Angeles County, and are ready to work in a high-energy, fast paced, and collaborative work environment. Spanish proficiency is required. Candidates should have availability to work a flexible schedule, as attendance at night and weekend meetings and events will be required. Candidates with prior experience representing an elected official or community organization before community stakeholders are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with constituent groups, stakeholders, businesses, and community-based organizations throughout the district.
- Representing the Supervisor at meetings, events, and neighborhood and city council convenings, while providing timely updates on issues affecting the community.
- Identifying key community concerns and priorities and develop recommendations for appropriate follow-up and action.
- Staffing the Supervisor at community events, meetings and public engagements by preparing briefing papers and background information in advance.
- Planning and coordinating events and initiatives for the community that advance the office’s priorities and are responsive to the needs and interests of Third District constituents.
- Serving as a liaison between the Supervisor’s Office and the community to address constituent concerns.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
