Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Feed Store Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that plays an important role in keeping our feed store and agricultural operations running smoothly.
The primary duties include loading and unloading feed, moving and stacking heavy bags, stocking inventory, assisting customers, maintaining the store and yard, and performing general labor duties. Employees may also operate forklifts, tractors, pallet jacks, and other equipment after receiving proper training.
This position requires frequent heavy lifting. The ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly is an essential job requirement. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical labor, working on their feet for extended periods, and working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, lift, carry, move, and stack bags of animal feed and agricultural supplies, including bags weighing 50 pounds or more
- Repeatedly perform lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and other physical tasks throughout the workday
- Assist customers with selecting and loading feed, livestock supplies, and other agricultural products
- Stock shelves, pallets, bins, and storage areas while maintaining an organized inventory
- Receive deliveries and safely move products into designated storage areas
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, tractors, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized
- Keep the store, warehouse, loading areas, and outdoor yard clean, organized, and safe
- Follow proper lifting techniques and all workplace safety procedures
- Assist with general farm, ranch, livestock, and agricultural tasks as needed
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and general upkeep when needed
- Use hand tools and basic equipment safely
- Work cooperatively with coworkers and assist with other duties as assigned
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and maintain a professional attitude
Requirements
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the workday
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry as required
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and safely operate forklifts, tractors, and other equipment
- Previous experience in a feed store, warehouse, farm, ranch, agriculture, construction, or general labor position is preferred but not required
- Forklift, tractor, livestock, mechanical, or agricultural experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding labor position.
Employees must be able to safely:
- Lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly
- Load and unload feed bags and other heavy materials
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull frequently
- Move and stack heavy bags and supplies
- Work safely around forklifts, tractors, vehicles, and other equipment
- Work indoors and outdoors, including in hot, cold, dusty, or wet conditions
The ability to safely perform these essential physical duties is a requirement of the position.

- Feed store or agricultural supply experience
- Farm or ranch experience
- Livestock handling or animal-care experience
- Forklift or tractor experience
- Warehouse or material-handling experience
- Basic mechanical or equipment-maintenance experience
- Experience using hand or power tools
- Customer service experience
