Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including styling, coloring, extensions, and haircutting using professional techniques such as straight razors and hair threading.
- Provide expert nail care services including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements.
- Apply eyelash extensions with precision to enhance clients’ natural beauty.
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable treatments or products.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following industry regulations.
- Use salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, makeup, and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring smooth salon operations.
- Mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license; additional certifications in nail care or eyelash extensions are a plus.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Ability to perform specialized services including hair extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and retail sales.
- Familiarity with store management tasks such as retail math calculations and inventory control is advantageous.
