Casa Alpaca is looking for a dependable cleaner for a three-bedroom, one-bath short-term rental in Ferndale. A typical turnover takes approximately 105 to 135 minutes. The current workload is limited and varies with guest departures, with additional work expected as the local portfolio grows. Pay is $24 to $25 per hour. Most work takes place between 11:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Scheduling is provided in advance, but turnover days vary from week to week. Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, taking out trash, washing and replacing linens, treating stains, restocking household items, and occasional light weeding in rock-bed garden areas. The ability to unclog a drain, install a door handle, or help oversee a small home upgrade is a plus, but is not required. Applicants must have reliable transportation, a smartphone, strong punctuality, and the ability to follow written instructions without repeated clarification. The selection process includes a short video, a brief conversation, professional references, and a paid supervised training clean. Final independent property access is contingent on a satisfactory background check.
