About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in Pain Management at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a key role in supporting patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. Working closely with providers and the care team, you will assist with patient visits, care coordination, procedure preparation, and patient education. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate support to patients navigating complex treatment plans.

Full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Fast-paced specialty clinic environment focused on patient-centered pain management care.
Primary Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and visit details.

Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Assist providers with examinations, injections, and office-based procedures.

Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, medication refills, and follow-up appointments.

Communicate provider recommendations, test results, and patient education materials.

Respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Assist with procedure room preparation, inventory management, and equipment readiness.

Support patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.

Perform other duties as assigned to support pain management clinic operations.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

CPR certification required (available upon hire).

Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Previous clinical experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, orthopedics, neurology, pain management, or related healthcare setting preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.12 - $24.18 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
