Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Traveling Carpenter and bring expert craftsmanship to a variety of residential and restoration projects across multiple locations. Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform framing, siding, trim carpentry, flooring installation, and metal stud framing with attention to detail.
- Handle restoration projects including plastering, stucco application, rebar installation, mold remediation, and fixture installation.
- Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently while adhering to power tool safety standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist in remodeling efforts to transform spaces according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site activities such as caulking, reinstallation of siding, and installation of various fixtures.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential carpentry and woodworking.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with heavy lifting, rebar installation, stucco application, siding work, and fixture setup.
- Familiarity with the use of metal stud framing and mold remediation techniques is a plus.
- Valid safety certifications related to power tool safety and general construction site protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly across different project environments.
