Duties
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and finishing services tailored to each client’s preferences and features
- Perform hair treatments such as extensions, threading, eyelash extensions, and nail care to enhance overall client appearance
- Maintain impeccable sanitation and cleanliness standards in all work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling tips to foster client loyalty
- Upsell retail products such as hair extensions, color treatments, makeup items, and nail care products to boost sales
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing check-in/check-out procedures, and handling client communication
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in barbering, hair coloring, and styling to promote team growth and excellence
- Stay current with industry trends in hair coloring theory, fashion styles, and new techniques to provide innovative services
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse hair styling skills
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment management and retail tracking
- Expertise in hair care treatments including extensions, coloring (color theory), straight razor shaving, and eyelash extensions
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and personalized service delivery
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a safe salon environment
- Familiarity with retail math principles for upselling products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service
- Experience with front desk operations or store management is a plus but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
