Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter, thank and invite them to return as they exit the store, and provide assistance as needed.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients with precision knife skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Support menu planning by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences.
- Handle food with care during preparation and service, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production efficiently during busy service periods.
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure that guests receive high-quality 5-star service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent knife skills for efficient and precise ingredient prep.
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness.
